Thirty one children have died after a broken-down church bus caught fire in Colombia.
The blaze was sparked when the driver tried to restart the bus by pouring fuel into the engine yesterday afternoon.
Eighteen people managed to escape but 31 children and one adult perished in the blaze.
The children, aged between two and 12, were from the poorest neighbourhoods of the remote northern town Fundacion.
Witnesses said only the older ones were able to climb through the windows once the fire took hold.
Tragically, the bus had no emergency exits.
