New Delhi: Live updates from day three of the first Test match being played between Pakistan and New Zealand at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

After chasing leather in the first two days, the Kiwis were looking for a decent start which was not the case as three of their established batsmen – Brendon McCullum, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor were back to the pavilion with the scoreboard reading 47-3.

Pakistani batsmen had a run-fest on Day 2, where Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq and Ahmed Shehzad, all slammed centuries. Before being dismissed hit-wicket off a bouncer, Shehzad scored a stupendous knock.

Meanwhile, Younus (100*) hit his fourth century in five innings while Misbah (102*) hit his third successive test hundred in a 193-run unbroken partnership.

At stumps on Day 2, Openers Brendon McCullum (nine) and Tom Latham (five) survived seven overs to guide New Zealand to 15 at stumps on day two, with the team still needing 352 more runs just to avoid the follow-on.
